Arizona Biltmore Serves Cocktail History The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix is celebrating National Tequila Day on July 24 by offering guests the chance to sip the original Tequila Sunrise at Wright Bar, where the drink was created in the 1930s. Longtime bartender Gene Sulit crafted the cocktail after a hotel guest requested a refreshing tequila drink to enjoy poolside. The original recipe consists of "tequila, fresh lime juice, crème de cassis, pomegranate juice, and club soda," and creates a signature sunrise effect as the crème de cassis settles to the bottom of the glass. While the orange juice version popularized in the 1970s became the global standard, the Arizona Biltmore continues to serve Sulit's original creation. Guests who order the Original Tequila Sunrise will receive a complimentary custom keepsake coaster featuring an embossed Arizona Biltmore logo and the original recipe.

Resort and Hotel Celebrations Across the Country At Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina, private cabanas will feature a Casamigos-themed experience throughout July. Designed for up to six guests, each cabana includes comfortable lounge seating, poolside service, and a pitcher of the Amigos margarita. Guests can also access refreshments from Agave Bar. The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Collection in Park City, Utah is hosting Tacocat Speakeasy in a secluded mountaintop yurt overlooking the Wasatch Range. The seasonal experience features handcrafted tequila and mezcal cocktails paired with authentic Mexican small plates by Chef Guillermo Tellez. Little James, a café and cocktail bar located inside The Ann Savannah in Savannah's Historic District, is offering the Midafternoon Marg—a reposado tequila, select aperitivo, honey, cucumber, lime, and bittersweet blend served on the patio or paired with Mediterranean-inspired fare. La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California marks its 100th anniversary with the Centennial Margarita, crafted with Volcan X.A. tequila, Grand Marnier, and fresh-squeezed lime and lemon juice. Each drink is paired with complementary bites such as tuna poke tacos and crispy fried chicken tacos. The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, Auberge Collection in Los Olivos, California—a restored 1886 stagecoach stop in Santa Barbara wine country—is highlighting the Elixir Del Diablo, made with blanco tequila, prickly pear, Thai chili, and egg white for a silky, lightly spicy profile.
