Experience-gifting platform Spur Experiences has launched Spurfect Rewards, a loyalty program that counts bookings, gifts sent, and gifts received toward badge milestones—each unlocking e-wallet credit that functions like a gift card. The program went live October 30, 2026, and past purchases qualify, meaning many existing customers enter the program with progress already banked.

For hospitality and foodservice operators, the most directly relevant badge is the Foodie tier, one of ten themed tracks that include Adrenaline Junkie, Culture Vulture, and Memory Gifter. Experience pages now display which badges a given booking counts toward, and shoppers can filter the platform's catalog by badge—a browse path that surfaces culinary experiences alongside adventure and travel options. The move positions dining and food-focused experiences as loyalty currency in a broader gifting ecosystem that spans more than 9,000 experiences across more than 80 countries.

The Reward Structure

Spurfect Rewards uses a three-tier milestone system within each badge. Members earn $20 in Spur credit plus a physical enamel pin shipped by mail after five qualifying experiences (Trailblazer). A further $50 credit arrives at ten experiences (Maverick, $70 cumulative), and an additional $100 at twenty experiences brings the total to $170 per badge. One experience can count toward multiple badges simultaneously. Rewards for concert, sports, and gifted experiences apply to eligible purchases of $100 or more.

"Most loyalty programs reward you for spending on yourself. We wanted to reward people for giving, too, because at Spur a gift is how a lot of our customers find their next favorite thing to do," said Cody Sudmeier, CEO of Spur Experiences. The physical pin at the first milestone reflects a deliberate choice to anchor a digital program in a tangible object—a tactic that could resonate with hospitality brands exploring experiential loyalty strategies.

Corporate Gifting Angle

The program carries implications beyond individual consumers. Spur's corporate gifting arm offers bulk vouchers deliverable by email or through integration with Sendoso and Postal, covering employee and client gifting. That infrastructure means restaurants and hospitality groups that partner with Spur as experience providers could see incremental bookings driven by corporate accounts seeking qualifying gifts. Deloitte's 2026 holiday retail survey found that 50% of U.S. holiday shoppers plan to give an experience this season, up from 47% in 2025 and 39% in 2024—a trajectory that underscores growing consumer appetite for experiential gifting in food and beverage.

Members track badge progress and e-wallet balances through Spur's web account portal and its iOS and Android app. The program is available now at spurexperiences.com/spurfect-rewards.
