Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' Dazzler Select brand has reached 14 open hotels across the United States within its first year of operation, signaling sustained appetite among independent operators for conversion models that offer global scale without erasing a property's individual identity.

The brand's growth model is straightforward: a flat monthly brand fee, low-cost conversion standards, and a guest-rating floor of 4.0 or higher. In exchange, owners gain access to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts' distribution network, revenue management tools, and the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program—which now counts approximately 129 million enrolled members worldwide. Standard amenities across the portfolio include free Wi-Fi for Wyndham Rewards members, complimentary 24-hour coffee and water stations, and a complimentary breakfast item per guest.

The Property Mix

The portfolio reflects a deliberate mix of destination-driven independents: family resorts, adventure lodges, wellness retreats, and reimagined roadside properties. Among the most recent additions are Majestic Canyon Lodge in Williams, Ariz.—54 miles from Grand Canyon National Park and freshly renovated in 2026—Soap Lake Natural Spa & Resort in central Washington's Columbia Basin, Casey Key Resorts Mainland on Florida's Gulf Coast near Sarasota, Moab Big Horn Lodge four miles from Arches National Park in Utah, Golden Gables Inn in North Conway, N.H., and Kings House Motor Hotel along historic Route 66 in Flagstaff, Ariz. The brand's first property, Magic Moment Resort & Kids Club in Kissimmee, Fla., remains a flagship example of how independent character can survive—and benefit from—a franchise relationship.

Michael Christensen, partner at Garn Development and co-owner of Moab Big Horn Lodge, highlighted the loyalty reach as a key draw: "With Dazzler Select, we can preserve that identity while tapping into Wyndham's best-in-class technology and top-rated rewards program with more than 126 million enrolled members worldwide. That kind of reach is incredibly powerful for an independent hotel like ours, and we get it without changing what makes Big Horn Lodge special."

Tech Stack for Franchisees

Beyond distribution, Wyndham is positioning its technology suite as a competitive differentiator for Dazzler Select owners. Wyndham Connect, the company's AI-powered guest engagement platform, is available at no added cost to franchisees. A premium add-on, Wyndham AI Concierge, uses agentic voice and messaging to handle guest questions, recommendations, and reservation management—freeing on-property staff for face-to-face service and, the company argues, boosting direct booking contribution.

Chief Development Officer David Wilner framed the brand's proposition in terms familiar to any operator navigating third-party channel costs: "Independent owners shouldn't have to choose between preserving what makes their hotel special and gaining the scale that can help them compete. Dazzler Select was built to give them both, helping owners reach more travelers, drive more direct bookings and reduce their reliance on higher-cost third-party channels."

For hospitality operators tracking lifestyle brand expansion in the midscale segment, Dazzler Select's early traction offers a useful data point: the conversion-friendly, fee-simple model appears to resonate with quality independents that have strong local identities but limited marketing infrastructure. Operators evaluating similar soft-brand or franchise arrangements will find the Wyndham approach—flat fees, tech inclusion, and preserved autonomy—worth benchmarking against other hotel franchise and conversion options in the current market.
