New Menu Items Roll Out August 31 Vocelli Pizza will introduce two new menu items across all its locations starting August 31: a Detroit Style Pan Pizza and a 1.5-pound brownie, the company announced Wednesday. The Detroit Style Pan Pizza is baked in garlic butter and priced at $14.99, designed as a shareable option for families and groups. An optional $3 upgrade adds Parmesan, Asiago, and Romano cheeses to the bottom of the pizza to create what the company describes as a "crispy satisfying crunch." "Our Detroit Style Pan Pizza is a cheese lover's dream," said Toni Bianco, CEO of Vocelli Pizza. "We know consumers are looking for value right now, and we wanted to create products that deliver on both indulgence and shareability. These new offerings give families and groups something exciting to bring to the table."

Brownie Targets Game Day Occasions The brownie, which weighs 1.5 pounds and measures 8" x 8", spent a year in development. It features rich chocolate chunks on top and is drizzled with chocolate fudge. Both items follow the success of Vocelli's recent Pinsa Crust promotion. The Pittsburgh-based chain operates more than 80 locations offering pizza and Italian foods for carryout and delivery.

Why It Matters

As QSR operators seek to differentiate their menus and capture occasion-based occasions like game day, oversized desserts and shareability-focused entrees have proven effective traffic drivers. The timing and pricing strategy—positioning the pizza as a family value item—reflects broader consumer pullback on discretionary spending.
