Philadelphia-based canned cocktail producer Top Dog Cocktails is opening two vinyl listening room venues this fall, combining its ready-to-drink cocktails with curated vinyl experiences, bottle shop retail, and nonprofit partnerships. The Fishtown flagship location at 2012 Frankford Avenue occupies roughly 350 square feet in a former Chase Bank ATM space, with capacity for about 15 guests on the bar level and a basement vinyl listening room. The Kennett Square location at 110 E. State Street will span approximately 750 square feet, offering more space for the listening experience.

"In a world where almost everything has become digital, we wanted to create spaces that celebrate the beauty of analog experiences," said Ken Smukler, founder of Top Dog Cocktails. "Vinyl has a way of bringing people together, and we wanted to pair that with great cocktails and a one-of-a-kind listening experience. We're excited to bring the concept to Kennett Square and Fishtown this fall, with Manayunk and Conshohocken already on the horizon as we continue building neighborhood spaces centered around music and community."

Hospitality Model Innovation

The concept represents a hybrid hospitality approach for independent RTD cocktail brands. By combining on-premise consumption, retail bottle sales, and community partnerships, Top Dog is testing a model that captures multiple revenue streams while building brand loyalty in its home market. Each location will dedicate space to local nonprofit organizations and community programs.

Company Background

The company launched in summer 2022 and operates in the 12.5% ABV RTD cocktail category, with distribution across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Florida. Top Dog has sold more than 1 million cans over its first three years. The Fishtown and Kennett Square openings signal expansion beyond traditional wholesale channels, with Manayunk and Conshohocken locations already planned.
