Bradshaw Brings Limited-Edition Bourbon to Houston Launch Event

Terry Bradshaw will introduce TB12, a 12-year-aged single-barrel bourbon from his Bradshaw Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey line, during a public tasting event June 16 at Permission Whiskey & Service Co. in Houston.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback will step behind the bar to pour the new expression and discuss the bourbon's backstory at the Heights-neighborhood bar, located at 2920 White Oak Dr. Doors open at 4 p.m., with the event beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to guests 21 and older, subject to venue capacity.

Critical Reception Drives Limited Release

TB12 arrived on shelves to strong reviews. Robb Report called it "a truly tasty hazmat bourbon," while VinePair named it among the "30 Best Bourbons for 2026." The bourbon was produced in extremely limited quantities, with only a select number of barrels released.

Bottled at cask strength and aged in charred American oak, the bourbon carries notes of vanilla, toffee, spice and oak—hallmarks of Bradshaw's bourbon line. Each barrel delivers distinct character while maintaining what the brand describes as bold oak, depth and intensity. Bottling was handled by Bluegrass Distillers in Kentucky.

Strategic Bar Partnership

Permission Whiskey & Service Co. is the first and only on-premise establishment currently carrying TB12. The Houston bar, recognized as one of America's top whiskey destinations by Whisky Advocate, has built a reputation for rare offerings and deep industry credibility.

"The partnership marks a significant moment for Bradshaw Bourbon, placing the release of TB12 directly in front of the enthusiasts, collectors and industry advocates who help shape modern bourbon culture," according to a statement about the event.

Expanding the Bradshaw Portfolio

TB12 is the third expression in Bradshaw's bourbon line, which he founded with his son-in-law, acclaimed chef Noah Hester. The portfolio also includes the original small-batch bourbon and a 6-year-aged single-barrel expression. The Bradshaw brand is part of Tag Reserve Spirits' portfolio, which includes several other spirits brands targeting lifestyle and sports-focused consumers.

Bradshaw's bourbon brand has accumulated multiple medals at international spirits competitions and a 91-point rating from Wine Enthusiast.

Why It Matters

For operators, the event underscores the growing prestige of celebrity-backed spirits brands in premium channels. Permission Whiskey's exclusive access to TB12 positions the bar as a destination for collectors and enthusiasts seeking hard-to-find releases, while the public tasting provides the Bradshaw brand direct access to on-premise influencers and industry advocates who shape category trends.
