New Snack Taps Into Protein-Packed Demand Teriyaki Madness has launched Chili Crisp Edamame, a limited-time menu feature that reimagines the brand's classic edamame with a sweet heat glaze. The snack delivers 8 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber per serving, positioning it as both a standalone option and a bowl add-on. "Some of our best menu ideas come from rethinking the classics," said Nate Weir, culinary director of Teriyaki Madness. "Edamame has always been a great snack or side, but the chili crisp glaze completely transforms it. It's sweet, spicy and packed with protein, and it's a great example of how even a simple ingredient can become something exciting." The launch aligns with broader consumer interest in functional snacking and high-protein menu items. The edamame joins Teriyaki Madness's customizable bowl lineup of marinated, grilled proteins—chicken, steak, salmon, and tofu—served over rice or yakisoba noodles.
Free Delivery Promotion Runs Through September Teriyaki Madness is also extending Free Delivery Tuesdays through September 29. The promotion applies to orders placed through the TMAD app or website; third-party delivery apps are excluded. The brand operates over 200 locations across 40 states and is actively recruiting franchise operators. Chili Crisp Edamame is available now systemwide while supplies last.
Why It Matters
For operators, the limited-time launch demonstrates how established menu items can be repositioned to capture trending ingredient categories—in this case, chili crisp condiments and protein-forward sides—without requiring kitchen overhauls.
