Outdoor hospitality operator Streamside RV Resorts & Campgrounds has acquired Bay Point Landing, a waterfront modern camping resort in Coos Bay, Oregon, marking the company's first Pacific Northwest property and 41st asset in its national portfolio. The deal, sourced from NBP Capital—which originally developed the property in 2018—extends Streamside's coast-to-coast footprint to 18 states and more than 4,774 RV and lodging sites.
Why the Property Stands Out
Bay Point Landing is not a typical RV park acquisition. The 103-acre inlet site features 125 RV sites, 32 Scandinavian-inspired cabins, and 14 rentable Airstreams, along with an indoor heated saltwater pool, a bayfront fitness center, and a kids' den. Its architecture and design have earned repeated industry recognition—including being named "Best Place to Camp in the Pacific Region" by The Dyrt Annual Awards and winning the "Lodges + Camps" category at the Hospitality Design Awards—placing it firmly in the premium outdoor hospitality tier that operators and hospitality investors have been targeting aggressively in recent years.
The property's location roughly four hours south of Portland and two hours southwest of Eugene positions it along the Highway 101 road-trip corridor, with proximity to Sunset Bay State Park, Cape Arago State Park, and the golf destination Bandon Dunes. That geography makes it attractive to both drive-market leisure travelers and longer-stay guests seeking experiential, resort-caliber outdoor accommodations.
Operator Strategy and Transition
"We have been looking for the right way to enter into the Pacific Northwest market, and Bay Point Landing is exactly what we were looking for," said Jen Milam, Chief Growth Officer at Streamside. "It's perfectly situated for travelers road-tripping along Highway 101, offering top-tier RV sites, lodging and amenities."
Streamside's growth model mirrors strategies seen across the broader hospitality acquisition landscape, where scaled operators pursue supply-constrained leisure destinations with proven demand and premium positioning. The company was founded in 2023 and has moved quickly, assembling a portfolio that spans both its signature resorts and its SteadyStays extended-stay concept.
On the transition, Streamside confirmed that all existing guest reservations will be honored and current park operations will continue without disruption. The company plans to evaluate targeted capital investments to upgrade infrastructure over coming seasons while preserving Bay Point Landing's design identity and local character. Streamside also indicated it intends to engage with the Coos Bay community on local priorities and initiatives over the long term—a signal that operators at this scale increasingly view community integration as part of the brand value proposition, not just a public-relations exercise.
For foodservice and hospitality professionals tracking the outdoor lodging segment, Streamside's expansion underscores how high-design camping resorts with full amenity stacks—essentially resort hotels in a natural setting—are drawing institutional capital and sophisticated operators away from traditional hotel and restaurant-adjacent real estate.
