A new premium steak and seafood restaurant is now open to the public at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida — and its first weeks coincide with one of Central Florida's most-watched dining events.
Stone & Current, situated in the resort's River Island area, seats both resort guests and outside diners in what the brand describes as an elevated yet family-approachable setting. The menu centers on fresh-cut steaks, seafood, curated wines, and handcrafted cocktails, with a full lounge staying open nightly until midnight. Dinner is served daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and weekend brunch runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Magical Dining Entry
The restaurant's public debut is timed to its first-ever participation in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health, which runs Aug. 14 through Sept. 30, 2026. Stone & Current joins more than 180 Orlando-area restaurants in this year's program, offering a three-course prix-fixe dinner at $40 per person (plus tax and gratuity). The program also carries a community-benefit component: $1 from each $40 meal sold is directed to OCA, a nonprofit serving individuals with autism and other developmental differences, with Visit Orlando contributing additional donations to six related nonprofits.
"Stone & Current was created to bring a premium dining experience to Orange Lake Resort while still feeling warm, comfortable and approachable for families," said Thad Gregory, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations at Holiday Inn Club Vacations. "Participating in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining for the first time gives us an exciting opportunity to introduce Stone & Current to diners throughout Central Florida."
Resort F&B Strategy
The opening reflects a broader pattern in hospitality food and beverage development, where resort operators are investing in signature on-property restaurants designed to attract local diners — not just overnight guests. By drawing community traffic, properties can boost F&B revenue while reinforcing brand identity and differentiating from competing resort offerings nearby.
For foodservice operators watching the Orlando market, Stone & Current's positioning — premium ingredients and cocktail programming inside a family-vacation context — illustrates the demand for concepts that can serve multiple dayparts and guest profiles simultaneously. The lounge-until-midnight format, paired with weekend brunch, is a notably full schedule for a resort outlet, suggesting confidence in both the local and visitor markets.
Holiday Inn Club Vacations operates a network of 22 resorts across the United States and Mexican Caribbean. Orange Lake Resort, the company's flagship property, opened in 1982. Readers tracking restaurant openings in the hospitality sector will find Stone & Current a useful case study in how legacy resort brands are refreshing their dining portfolios to compete with standalone restaurant destinations.
