Miami's Bar Community Gets a Month-Long Toast ¡Salud!

Miami, a citywide cocktail celebration supporting the hospitality industry, returns October 1-31, 2026, for its second year. More than 50 bars, restaurants and hotels across Miami will participate, offering exclusive cocktail menus with discounted drinks before 10 p.m. and special programming. The program aims to drive foot traffic to venues across neighborhoods from Miami Beach to Coral Gables while spotlighting the bartenders and beverage teams who sustain the industry. The inaugural 2025 edition drew 65 participating venues. This year's lineup includes award-winning and emerging destinations: ViceVersa (recently named Best U.S. Hotel Bar), Café La Trova (ranked among North America's 50 Best Bars), Sweet Liberty Drinks & Supply Co., Ball & Chain, Hakkasan Miami, Rose Bar at Delano Miami Beach, Matador Bar at The Miami Beach EDITION, and neighborhood favorites like Vecinos, Mama Tried, and Lost Boy Dry Goods.

Leadership Behind the Initiative The program is led by LP Steele, CEO of POPLIFE; Gabriel Urrutia, FIU Hospitality Professor of Spirits and author of "Miami Cocktails"; and Joshua Wagner, founder of Wagner Hospitality and owner of venues including Vecinos and Medium Cool. Seth Browarnik, founder of World Red Eye, joined for year two. "This is our second year and there's a lot of excitement from the bars, sponsors and Miami community around ¡Salud!," Steele says. "The first year showed us just how much Miami values its bar community, and this October we're giving everyone more reasons to get out and socialize. In addition to the discounted cocktail menus, subscribe to our ¡SALUD! Newsletter for the list of events and programming around the city." Wagner added: "After a long, hot summer, October is a time to grab your friends, pull up a bar stool and enjoy cocktails from the top bars in Miami." Browarnik stated: "¡Salud! is doing something meaningful and necessary for the industry and the community, and as a Miami native, I am excited for October and the increased awareness this program deserves."

Why It Matters

For operators, ¡Salud! represents a structured approach to driving October traffic during Miami's seasonal rebound—a traditionally slower summer recovery period. The month-long format mirrors successful bar week models in other cities, offering a template for hospitality-focused community activation that benefits both venues and the professionals who staff them.
