Salad and Go is rolling out Menu 2.GO across all 70 of its Arizona and Nevada drive-thru locations, a broad menu evolution that adds structured combo tiers starting at $3, a new all-natural flame-seared USDA steak, a smaller salad entry point at $5.99, and a lineup of summer seasonal items. The launch comes as the fast-casual health segment continues to wrestle with a value perception gap — a challenge the Phoenix-based chain is leaning into directly.
The Value Architecture
The combo structure is the mechanical heart of Menu 2.GO. A $3 combo lets guests add a small drink and a select side — Pita Chips & Hummus, Cheese Quesadilla, Pita Chips, or Sea Salt Chips — to any salad or wrap. The $5 tier unlocks any size drink and any side, including a Chicken or Steak Quesadilla, Mac & Cheese Cup, Soup Cup, or Pita Chips & Loaded Hummus. Size upgrades carry modest add-on pricing: the Mac & Cheese bowl runs $2 more; soup bowl adds $1. The new $5.99 small salad fills a gap at the low end of the ticket, giving guests a lighter, lower-cost entry without abandoning chef-curated recipes.
The chain's own July 2026 survey — fielded July 9–12 among 512 email-panel respondents in Arizona and Nevada — found that approximately 49% of participants say it's difficult to find meals that are healthy, fast, and affordable simultaneously. Roughly 42% reported feeling sluggish after a greasy fast-food lunch. While the sample is brand-adjacent and geographically narrow, the data points align with broader restaurant industry research on value-driven consumer behavior that has reshaped QSR and fast-casual pricing strategy throughout 2025 and into 2026.
New Proteins and Seasonal LTOs
Beyond the combo architecture, Menu 2.GO introduces recipe enhancements across all signature salads and refreshed ingredient combinations. The headline protein addition is a flame-seared USDA steak described as all-natural — a meaningful callout for a drive-thru brand competing on ingredient quality rather than speed alone.
Seasonal additions include two new salads and two beverages. The Elote Salad draws on Mexican street corn traditions, featuring roasted corn, pepitas, jalapeños, cotija cheese, and Tajín. The Summer Crunch Salad interprets a loaded burger in salad form, built with flame-seared steak, tomatoes, pickles, and crispy onions. On the beverage side, Coconut Lemonade and Coconut Cold Brew round out the summer roster with a tropical profile that fits the chain's made-to-order beverage program.
"Our goal has always been to make fresh food work for real life," said Chef Daniel Patino, co-founder and executive chef of Salad and Go. "Over the past 18 months, we've expanded the menu with new proteins, sides and seasonal offerings based on what our guests told us they want. Menu 2.GO brings those choices together in a way that's even more flexible."
Digital and App Pricing Layers
For operators watching how emerging fast-casual chains structure loyalty-adjacent value, Salad and Go's digital pricing layer is worth noting. App and online users can access $1 off Caesar salads and wraps, $6 salads bundled with any breakfast burrito purchase, and $9.99 combos on weekends — all without a traditional points-based loyalty program. That approach reduces friction while still channeling price-sensitive guests toward owned digital channels, a tactic gaining traction across fast-casual restaurant technology strategies.
CEO Mike Tattersfield framed the launch as an ongoing process rather than a one-time event. "This is only the beginning," he said, "as guests can expect even more exciting menu innovation from Salad and Go in the months ahead." Menu 2.GO is live now at all locations and available for pickup or delivery through the app and saladandgo.com.
