Purity Coffee has released its first purpose-built espresso offering, a medium-roast whole-bean SKU called ESPRESSO, available now at PurityCoffee.com for $30. The launch marks the brand's first roast developed specifically around espresso extraction rather than adapted from an existing profile.
Behind the Roast
Purity positioned the new roast between FLOW, its flagship medium roast, and EASE, its dark roast — a deliberate calibration designed to soften natural acidity while building the body and concentration needed for espresso shots. The beans carry tasting notes of cocoa and dried-fruit acidity with a silky finish, and are suited for traditional espresso machines, automatic machines, and moka pots, as well as milk-based drinks like lattes and cappuccinos.
"We created ESPRESSO to deliver the rich, balanced experience people want from espresso while setting a higher standard for healthy coffee," said Andrew Salisbury, CEO and co-founder of Purity Coffee. "It reflects our Circular Health Coffee system and our belief that every decision — from the soil to the final roast — can influence the quality and health potential of the coffee in your cup."
Health Standards at Scale
The brand's Circular Health Coffee framework connects regenerative growing practices, intentional sourcing, third-party laboratory testing for mold, mycotoxins, and other contaminants, and precision roasting aimed at maximizing naturally occurring beneficial compounds. All Purity coffees are USDA-certified organic and tested by a third-party lab before reaching consumers — a bar the new ESPRESSO SKU meets in full.
For foodservice and hospitality operators tracking the specialty coffee and better-for-you beverage trends, Purity's entry into the espresso segment signals broadening demand for transparently sourced, health-positioned coffee beyond the filter-brew category. Espresso-based drinks are the backbone of café menus and hotel lobby coffee programs, and the appearance of contaminant-tested, organic espresso beans at a direct-to-consumer price point reflects the same consumer appetite for ingredient transparency that is reshaping packaged food and restaurant beverage programs across segments.
Purity's ESPRESSO launch also arrives as operators and specialty retailers field growing questions from guests about mycotoxins and mold in coffee — concerns that have migrated from wellness communities into mainstream food media. By making third-party testing a brand pillar rather than a footnote, Purity is staking out differentiated positioning in an espresso market dominated by legacy roasters.
