## A Toast to Coffee Culture at Sea Princess Cruises is marking International Coffee Day on October 1 by rolling out five signature coffee cocktails across its fleet, each representing a milestone in cocktail history. The lineup spans eight decades of coffee-based drinking culture: - Irish Coffee (1943): Whiskey, hot coffee & cream
- Black Russian (1949): Vodka & coffee liqueur
- White Russian (1960s): Vodka, coffee liqueur & cream
- Espresso Martini (1983): Vodka & fresh espresso
- Carajillo (Today): Espresso & Licor 43 The cruise line partnered with Lavazza, the Italian coffee brand, to curate the collection. Each cocktail will be available at bars fleetwide starting October 1.
Why It Matters
For cruise operators and onboard beverage programs, the initiative demonstrates how themed offerings tied to cultural observances can drive bar traffic and create shareable social content. The historical framing also positions premium cocktails as part of the cruise experience rather than simple add-ons.
