Pivot, the lifestyle operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group, has been tapped by a joint venture led by The Georgetown Company to manage the Hutton Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee — a Tribute Portfolio by Marriott property long regarded as the city's original boutique hotel. The assignment places Pivot in stewardship of one of Music City's most culturally embedded hospitality assets, sitting steps from Music Row in the West End neighborhood.
The Property
The Hutton Hotel brings 246 newly renovated guestrooms alongside a hospitality program built around Nashville's creative identity. Food and beverage anchors include Evelyn's, a dining concept rooted in classic Americana, which positions the hotel as a genuine restaurant hospitality destination rather than a standard hotel dining afterthought. Beyond the plate, the property features Analog, a 5,000-square-foot music venue, and the Writers Studios, two fully equipped recording suites that give the property a genuine creative infrastructure rare in the hotel sector. Rounding out the offering is the newly debuted Spa at Hutton Hotel, a 3,200-square-foot wellness facility whose programming draws inspiration from Nashville's music culture. The property also carries 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, broadening its revenue channels for group business.
Operator Implications
For Pivot, the Hutton assignment reinforces the vertical's strategic focus on soft-branded, independent, and lifestyle hotels where differentiated food, beverage, and cultural programming drive guest experience rather than brand standards alone. Nick Gregory, Executive Vice President of Operations at Pivot, emphasized the opportunity to "leverage the hotel's new identity, reimagined spaces, intimate dining, and wellness offerings to deliver exceptional Southern hospitality and optimize revenue growth across all channels." Michael Fishbin, Managing Director and Head of Hospitality at The Georgetown Company, pointed to Pivot's "stellar reputation of operational excellence and delivering truly differentiated guest experiences" as the deciding factor in the selection.
The deal fits a broader pattern in lifestyle hotel management where owners are increasingly choosing specialized operators over traditional full-service management companies to extract value from properties with strong cultural identities. Davidson Hospitality Group's portfolio spans 89 hotels and resorts with more than 240 restaurants, bars, and lounges across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean — scale that gives Pivot procurement leverage and back-office depth while maintaining an independent operating sensibility. Comparable Pivot assignments include Hotel Zachary in Chicago and Bellyard in Atlanta's West Midtown, both Tribute Portfolio properties where lifestyle programming and F&B activations are central to the guest value proposition.
