Local Restaurant Takeover Kicks Off D-backs Homestand

The Arizona Diamondbacks and Pepsi are rolling out a limited-time restaurant partnership this week, bringing Phoenix-based Pita Jungle to Chase Field as the inaugural restaurant in the "Local Eats Deserves Pepsi®" program.

The initiative runs through June 21 during the team's homestand, with Pita Jungle operating a temporary location at Taste of Chase in Section 130. Two additional local restaurants will follow as part of the broader community-focused program.

Menu and Availability

Pita Jungle's limited Chase Field menu includes:

- Hummus with grilled chicken
- Roasted chicken shawarma
- Turkey pesto wrap
- Walnut pistachio baklawa rolls

Pita Jungle co-founder and owner Bassel Osmani is scheduled to participate in media availability from 5:00-6:00 p.m. today at the Taste of Chase location.

Program Strategy

According to the Diamondbacks, the partnership is designed to "support local restaurants while enhancing the fan experience through great food and superior-tasting cola." The program reflects growing stadium operator interest in featuring regional dining concepts alongside traditional ballpark fare.

Why It Matters

The initiative signals a broader trend of sports venues leveraging local restaurant partnerships as a competitive advantage in fan experience and concessions strategy. For operators, the program demonstrates how regional quick-service chains can expand reach through limited-time stadium partnerships, testing brand awareness with captive audiences.
