The Anniversary Push
Peter Piper Pizza is marking 53 years in the family dining-and-entertainment segment with a three-part offensive designed to drive repeat traffic: a nostalgia-forward collectible game card, a sweeping arcade refresh, and a limited-time menu addition. The moves signal how the CEC Entertainment subsidiary continues to position itself against competing family entertainment concepts by leaning into its arcade-pizza heritage while adding fresh menu reasons to visit.
Starting Nov. 2, guests at participating locations in Phoenix; Tucson, Arizona; Mesquite, Texas; National City, California; and Albuquerque and Roswell, New Mexico can purchase the Piper Savings Pass and receive a limited-edition, token-shaped FunPass game card — a physical callback to the brand's original arcade token. The card functions as a standard tap-to-play FunPass and allows guests to collect e-tickets redeemable at the Prize Pod, while supplies last.
The Pass Economics
The Piper Savings Pass, starting at $45.99 across two tiers, is structured to increase visit frequency and per-visit spend rather than one-time transactions. It offers unlimited location visits for two months, 100 to 200 free game points daily, and up to 40% off food and beverages. Points can be shared across up to four FunPass cards — a family-sharing mechanic that raises the value proposition for multi-child households and broadens the addressable purchase occasion. For operators watching restaurant loyalty and subscription models, this tiered pass approach mirrors what several casual-dining and entertainment-dining brands have piloted to stabilize traffic between peak periods.
Menu and Floor Updates
On the food side, the Extreme Pepperoni pizza returns for a limited time at participating locations, featuring sliced and diced pepperoni, signature spices, and a garlic butter crust built on the brand's made-from-scratch dough. It starts at $19.99 and is available for dine-in, carryout, and delivery. Peter Piper is also adding seasoned fries in two flavors — Salted and Cajun — giving guests an additional savory side to pair with pizza, a small but meaningful average-check driver in the current family dining and foodservice environment.
The arcade upgrade covers more than 100 new games and clawcade machines across all Arizona, Mesquite, and New Mexico locations. Titles include Guardians of the Galaxy, SpongeBob Ticket Coaster, and Angry Birds Boom!, with lineups varying by location. "For 53 years, Peter Piper Pizza has been a place for families to come together and make memories over great pizza and games," said Genaro Perez, chief marketing officer at Peter Piper Pizza. "Bringing back our iconic token in a new, collectible way is a fun nod to the generations who grew up with us, while our new Extreme Pepperoni pizza and biggest game refresh yet give families even more reasons to visit." Founded in 1973 in Glendale, Arizona, the brand now operates more than 115 locations across the United States and Mexico and donates more than $600,000 annually to schools, hospitals, and nonprofits focused on children's development.
