Four New Experiences Set to Transform Atlanta's Summer Food Event
PeachFest 2026 is introducing four new culinary experiences alongside its traditional format when the event returns to Underground Atlanta on July 12. The additions include an omakase-style tasting, a bartender competition, and a Puerto Rican pop-up collaboration.
New Offerings Announced
The festival is debuting:
Orchard Fireside Chat — A live conversation beneath a downtown peach orchard featuring chefs, farmers, and Atlanta food icons reflecting on 30 years of Atlanta food culture since the 1996 Olympics.
Peach Omakase — "Chef Robert Butts leads Georgia's first stand-up, chef-led peach tasting journey. Seven stations. Twelve minutes. One perfect bite at every stop." This experience is VIP-only.
Peach Pit Invitational — An invitation-only bartender competition offering $1,000 cash to the winner. "Atlanta's best mixologists competing to create the city's finest peach cocktail — live, in front of you."
Spanglish Cocina — A Puerto Rican pop-up created in collaboration with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution by Monti Carlo and Chef Hector Santiago, marking a first for PeachFest.
Event Details Remain Consistent
The festival will feature more than 50 chefs working with peaches sourced from Pearson Farm, with all experiences offered on an all-inclusive basis. The event runs from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 12 at Underground Atlanta, located at 50 Upper Alabama Street.
Tickets are available through peachfest.org. The event benefits CURE Childhood Cancer and Piggy Bank.
Why It Matters
For Atlanta food operators and hospitality professionals, PeachFest's expansion signals growing demand for experiential dining formats beyond traditional tasting menus. The inclusion of competitive elements (the cocktail competition) and cultural storytelling reflects broader industry trends toward entertainment-driven food events. The timing during World Cup week positions the festival to capitalize on increased visitor traffic to the city.
