Pantalones Organic Tequila and boozy ice cream brand Tipsy Scoop are bringing the margarita to the dessert menu with a limited-edition collaboration timed to National Tequila Day on July 22. The Pantalones Peaches & Cream Margarita Ice Cream — a fresh peach base infused with Pantalones Organic Reposado Tequila and tangy lime — is available through August at all Tipsy Scoop Barlour locations for $8.50 per scoop or $16 per pint. A four-pint pack is also available for $109.95 via Goldbelly for nationwide shipping.

The Dallas Expansion

The collaboration extends beyond the core national launch. Later this summer, Tipsy Scoop will debut the Pantalones Dallas Margarita Sorbet — a dairy-free, vegan offering — exclusively at its new Dallas Barlour at 506 N Bishop Ave in the Bishop Arts District. Inspired by the classic Texas Margarita, the sorbet combines citrus with Pantalones Organic Reposado Tequila, orange liqueur, and fresh lime juice. Unlike the seasonal peach ice cream, the Dallas sorbet will become a permanent menu item, priced at $8.50 per scoop and $16 per pint in-store. The Dallas opening marks Tipsy Scoop's latest franchise market, adding to existing locations in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., the Bahamas, Portland, Nashville, Pensacola, and Baltimore.

Why It Matters for Operators

For beverage and foodservice operators, the partnership illustrates a growing cross-category strategy: premium spirits brands seeking experiential retail touchpoints beyond the traditional bar shelf. Pantalones, the USDA-certified organic tequila co-founded by Matthew and Camila McConaughey and distilled in Amatitán, Jalisco, Mexico from 100% blue Weber agave, has built a reputation on award-winning liquid as much as its irreverent branding. The brand earned a Double Gold medal at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for the third consecutive year — a performance that elevated its Añejo to Platinum status. Wine Enthusiast has also scored both the Blanco and Añejo at 94 points and the Reposado at 93 points.

"Most margaritas are served on the rocks. This summer, we're deciding to serve ours by the scoop," said Persia Tatar, CMO of Pantalones Organic Tequila. Tipsy Scoop founder and CEO Melissa Tavss echoed the logic: "Partnering with Pantalones Organic Tequila allowed us to create a flavor that captures everything people love about a refreshing tequila cocktail in a fun, scoopable format."

The move reflects broader momentum in alcohol-infused dessert and beverage crossovers, a segment that has gained traction in experiential hospitality and foodservice retail as operators look for novel ways to drive incremental revenue and social engagement. Boozy ice cream sits at a compelling intersection: it carries the premium positioning of craft spirits while offering the accessibility and shareability of a dessert format — a combination that resonates strongly with on-premise operators building differentiated menus. Food & Beverage Magazine has tracked the rise of spirits-forward dessert collaborations as a recurring product innovation trend across the foodservice sector.
