Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa has appointed Kiki Swayne as Executive Pastry Chef, tasking her with overseeing the resort's dessert and confection programs across all dining venues, banquets, and special events. Swayne brings pastry credentials anchored in classical training and Puerto Rican heritage. She earned a Baking and Pastry Diploma from San Juan Hospitality School and later studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Florida after relocating in 2009. She has held pastry leadership roles at resort properties across Puerto Rico and Florida, and has been based on Amelia Island since 2012. "We are thrilled to welcome Kiki to Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa," said Steve Savastano, Director of Food and Beverage at the resort. "Her passion for pastry, creative approach to flavor and deep connection to Amelia Island make her an exceptional addition to our culinary team. We look forward to seeing her bring fresh ideas to our dining experiences while creating memorable moments for our guests." Swayne is known for blending classical pastry techniques with unexpected ingredients and international influences. In her new role, she aims to develop desserts that draw from her cultural heritage while maintaining technical rigor.

## Why It Matters
Executive pastry appointments signal a resort's commitment to differentiated dining programs. Swayne's background in resort hospitality and classical training positions her to elevate the property's dessert offerings—a category that can drive guest satisfaction and repeat visitation in the competitive resort market.
