Leadership Vision Oberweis CEO Renato DePaolis said: "The Orchard Town Center development is thriving and it makes for the perfect family-friendly hub that's become synonymous with the Oberweis brand. Ice cream simply tastes better when shared with family and friends, and our new store reflects the values we hold dear: a deep appreciation for quality, authentic experiences, and strong community connections. We'll always be that welcoming space for individuals of all ages to enjoy premium ice cream and take a joyful pause in their day." DePaolis added: "Ice cream should be fun. With the new shop, we wanted to bring new energy to the Oberweis brand while staying true to what our guests know and love. From the red and white design cues to the smell of fresh waffle cones, every detail was created to make people feel welcome the moment they walk in."
Why It Matters
Oberweis' expansion under Hoffmann Family ownership signals continued investment in brick-and-mortar ice cream retail in the Midwest, a market segment that has seen mixed performance as operators balance in-store experiences with delivery and retail channels. The promotional calendar and product innovation (Pretzel Party Frostbite) reflect typical launch strategies for premium ice cream chains seeking to drive traffic and build awareness in new markets.
