Nearly 900 Venues Join NYC's World Cup Dining Push

New York City Tourism + Conventions has launched the Five Borough Winners Special, an official citywide dining program designed to capitalize on FIFA World Cup 2026™ foot traffic across all five boroughs. Running June 11 through July 19, the initiative enlists nearly 900 restaurants, bars, and food establishments offering $26 food and beverage specials, collectible borough cups, or both.

Uber is presenting sponsor of the program, which allows diners to search participating venues by cuisine type, borough, neighborhood, and specific offer type through nyctourism.com/fiveboroughwinnersspecial.

Program Details

The Five Borough Winners Special operates on two promotional tracks:

$26 Offers: More than 570 establishments are participating, offering prix-fixe menus, beverage-and-bite pairings, drink specials, and other promotions at the $26 price point.

Limited-Edition Cups: Over 690 venues are distributing collectible 24-ounce reusable cups with borough-specific designs with food or beverage purchases. The cups are intended for cold beverages only and are dishwasher safe.

Many establishments are offering both promotions simultaneously.

Industry Backdrop

The initiative aligns with broader World Cup hospitality efforts in New York. It complements the NYC Neighborhood Passport and Welcome World Rewards, a FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee platform that encourages fans to check into local businesses and earn points.

Food and beverage establishments interested in providing $26 offers can register through July 1 via NYC Tourism + Conventions' business toolkit.

Mayor Mamdani added: "New York City is ready to welcome the world, and our small businesses will be at the center of that welcome. The Five Borough Winners Special will help bring visitors and residents into restaurants and bars throughout neighborhoods across the five boroughs, generating economic impact for local businesses during one of the biggest global sporting events in history."

Uber framed its sponsorship as part of its "commitment to seamless movement and city exploration" during a major sporting event.

Additional restaurants continue to enroll. Diners can share photos of collected borough cups on social media, tagging @NYCtourism for potential feature placement.
