Hospitality investment firm Noble Investment Group has hired Nehali Patel as Director of Asset Management, placing a 20-year industry veteran at the center of performance oversight for a portfolio of more than 200 hotels.
Patel joins from TPG Hotels and Resorts, where she managed performance across a national hotel portfolio. Before that, she held leadership positions at PeachState Hospitality and Marriott International. In her new role she will work alongside Noble's operating teams across the firm's multi-brand holdings, with direct accountability for revenue growth, operating efficiency, and asset-level value creation.
Why the Hire Matters
For operators and owners watching how large institutional platforms manage scale, the appointment signals where Noble is placing its bets. The Atlanta-based firm manages more than $5 billion in assets under management across the upscale select-service, upscale extended-stay, and branded long-term accommodations segments — categories that have seen sustained investor interest as hospitality real estate strategy evolves post-pandemic.
Steven Nicholas, managing principal and head of asset management, framed the hire in operational terms: "Nehali has a track record of turning operational discipline into measurable results, from opening hotels to driving portfolio-wide gains in revenue and guest satisfaction. That operating rigor is what turns strategy into cash flow."
Asset Management at Scale
Noble's vertically integrated platform combines investment, asset management, design and development, and operating capabilities under one roof — a structure increasingly favored by institutional investors seeking tighter control over returns. The firm, founded in 1993 and recognized among PERE's Top 200 Global Investment Managers, invests on behalf of public pension plans, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, and wealth managers.
Patel's background bridging brand-level operations at Marriott with portfolio-level oversight at TPG positions her to navigate that integration. Her mandate will span revenue strategy and operating discipline simultaneously — a dual focus that mirrors the pressure hotel and foodservice operators across segments face as labor costs and rate compression squeeze margins.
"What distinguishes Noble is the link between investment discipline and asset-level execution," Patel said. "I look forward to working alongside the team to drive performance across the portfolio."
