New Concept Emphasizes Wellness and Coastal Dining The Restaurant People, the group behind YOLO, Boatyard, S3, Nubé, and Rosa Sky Rooftop, is opening Naia on October 22 at the corner of Las Olas Boulevard and Southeast Ninth Avenue in Fort Lauderdale. The restaurant's name means "flow of water," and the design centers on two opposing elements: water and fire. The building has been set back 25 feet from the sidewalk to create an open corner presence. A cascading waterfall wall frames the restaurant's glowing name in firelight.

Menu-Driven by Mediterranean and Asian Technique Executive Chef Miguel Casanova leads the kitchen with a wellness-focused menu drawing from coastal Mediterranean traditions and Asian technique. The restaurant features live robata fire, house-baked sourdough pita with whipped dips, and sushi prepared by Corporate Sushi Chef Ped Phommavong using fish sourced from Tokyo's Toyosu Fish Market. Dishes are designed for sharing, emphasizing the social aspect of dining. The menu philosophy reflects what Casanova describes as modern hospitality: "fresh, social, vibrant, and connected to the coastal lifestyle."
