Millennium Hotels and Resorts (MHR) has formalized a Strategic Partnership Program with digital MICE platform HXE, effective August 2026, giving participating properties direct access to the platform's lead generation, enquiry management, and follow-up tools — freeing hotel teams to concentrate on conversion and event delivery rather than sourcing.
The Scale Behind the Deal
The numbers underscore why the tie-up matters for hospitality operators. MHR's portfolio spans more than 145 properties across 80 destinations, while HXE operates a network of over 150,000 hotels and venues connected to more than 400,000 corporate clients. HXE CEO Liang Yang said the integration could enable MHR hotels to be reached by that corporate base "with an efficiency 5 times faster than standard international hotel and meeting sourcing methods" — a claim that, if realized operationally, would represent a meaningful shift in how group business is generated across a large multi-brand portfolio.
For hospitality groups competing in the corporate meetings segment, the partnership addresses a persistent pain point: the fragmented, labor-intensive nature of MICE sourcing across multiple markets. By plugging into HXE's platform, Millennium Hotels and Resorts gains a structured digital channel that connects high-intent planners directly with hotel inventory, meeting spaces, and destination expertise — an increasingly important differentiator as corporate event budgets recover and planner expectations for seamless digital booking rise.
China Outbound as the Growth Lever
Cinn Tan, Chief Commercial Officer of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, pointed specifically to China's outbound MICE sector as the commercial opportunity driving the collaboration. "Corporates and associations increasingly look for trusted hotel partners that can support their business needs across international destinations," Tan said, framing the HXE relationship as an additional channel to drive meetings and events volume across MHR's global portfolio, from Singapore and London to New York, Los Angeles, Paris, and Dubai.
China's outbound corporate travel and events market has been rebuilding since pandemic-era restrictions lifted, and platforms purpose-built for that segment occupy a strategic position — making HXE's network a logical on-ramp for hotel groups seeking qualified Chinese corporate demand without building bespoke sales infrastructure in-market.
Operator Implications
For hotel operators and asset managers watching hospitality technology trends, the MHR-HXE deal is a signal that property-level MICE performance is increasingly a platform-integration question, not just a sales-staffing one. Groups that can route qualified demand through digital ecosystems — reducing the cost and cycle time of lead qualification — are likely to report stronger group revenue per available room as the meetings and events recovery matures.
The partnership also reflects a wider push among global hotel companies to layer third-party digital distribution into their meetings and events strategy alongside traditional intermediaries. Whether the efficiency gains cited translate into measurable revenue lift for individual properties will be the metric operators and owners will watch most closely as the program scales beyond its August launch.
