Contest Details Lucky Shuck Oyster Bar & Taphouse will host its 6th annual South Florida's Shucking Best Oyster Eating Contest on Wednesday, August 5 at 5:30 p.m. at its waterfront location in Jupiter. Contestants will have 90 seconds to slurp down as many oysters as possible. Each competitor will start with a tray of 36 oysters, with additional trays provided if they finish the first tray before time expires. "Every oyster must be completely swallowed to count." Before a winner is declared, competitors must keep the oysters down for three minutes after the contest ends. If there's a tie, competitors will go head-to-head, and the first person to finish an additional 12 oysters takes home the title.
Prizes and Registration Prizes include gift cards and swag bags.
The first place finisher will receive a $100 gift card to Lucky Shuck. The second place winner will receive a $50 gift card, while the third place winner will receive a swag bag featuring a hat, bracelet, and koozie. Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m., with the competition starting at 5:30 p.m. Participation is limited to 20 contestants, and advance registration is available online. The $25 entry fee benefits the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum.
Monthly Promotion Throughout August, Lucky Shuck is offering $1.50 oysters every Wednesday, available open to close.
