Cedar Rapids-based Lil' Drug Store Products, Inc. (LDSP) completed the acquisition of Navajo Incorporated's Health, Beauty and Wellness business — including its Trial and Travel division — effective September 4, 2026, the company confirmed this week. The deal marks the first time LDSP's trial and travel expertise enters the grocery and drug retail environment, a significant channel expansion for a company that has served convenience, travel, and hospitality outlets for more than 50 years.
What the Deal Adds
The acquisition layers new customers, categories, and distribution points onto LDSP's existing network of more than 180,000 retail locations. For operators and suppliers across the hospitality and foodservice supply chain, the shift matters: health and personal care products increasingly show up in hotel gift shops, travel plazas, and grocery-adjacent foodservice environments, meaning a distributor with deeper cross-channel reach can streamline vendor relationships. LDSP's strategic partners — including P&G, Haleon, Kenvue, Carmex, ChapStick, Olly, and Ricola, among others — stand to gain broader shelf presence as a result.
"This acquisition extends our strategy to provide consumer health and personal care suppliers with a more comprehensive retail solution," said Chris DeWolf, President and CEO of LDSP. "Navajo's strength in grocery and drug complements our leadership in convenience and travel, expanding our brand partners' ability to reach consumers wherever they shop."
Channel Implications for Operators
For hospitality and travel retail buyers, LDSP's expanded footprint could translate into a more consolidated sourcing option for the health, beauty, and wellness categories that anchor hotel amenity programs and travel convenience sets. Deborah Levy-Abreu, CEO of Navajo Inc., noted that the deal is designed to sustain the supplier and retailer relationships Navajo has built over decades: "Lil' Drug Store Products shares our customer-first mindset, and we are confident this combination will build on our legacy while taking the business to the next level."
Importantly, the transaction is scoped only to Navajo's Health, Beauty and Wellness segment. Navajo will retain independent ownership of its eyewear, mobile electronics, and general merchandise divisions, keeping those categories outside LDSP's umbrella for now.
The deal reinforces a broader consolidation trend in consumer health distribution, where suppliers are seeking single-source partners capable of serving multiple retail environments under one account relationship.
