New St. George's Bay Development Brings Global Brands to Mediterranean Island

Lifestyle Group, Malta's leading hospitality operator, is launching seven restaurants, bars, and a beach club in St. George's Bay this summer, marking a significant expansion of the island's fine dining landscape.

The development introduces three internationally acclaimed concepts to Malta for the first time: Bagatelle, a French Riviera beach club; TATEL, the Spanish-Mediterranean restaurant co-founded by soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo; and Paradiso, a cocktail bar that won The World's Best Bar award in 2022. Lifestyle Group is also debuting four original concepts.

The Venues

Bagatelle will operate as a day-to-night beach club combining Mediterranean dining with nightlife and entertainment.

TATEL brings Ronaldo's globally recognized concept, featuring Spanish-Mediterranean gastronomy with live entertainment in a glamorous setting.

Paradiso, founded by drinks visionary Giacomo Giannotti, offers an immersive cocktail experience with submarine-inspired interiors. The Barcelona location "was awarded the title of The World's Best Bar in 2022, and it has consistently ranked in the top five ever since," according to the release.

KIRU is positioned as Malta's first interactive Korean barbecue concept, featuring tableside grilling with curated sake selections.

TANVI delivers modern Indian cuisine developed in consultation with the co-founders of London's Kricket restaurant. The menu was "crafted to leave a lasting impression," the group said.

MATTO functions as an all-day Italian restaurant with an open pizza kitchen and family-friendly atmosphere overlooking the bay.

St George Pub operates as a contemporary British gastro-pub emphasizing craft beers, elevated comfort food, and live sports.

Strategic Timing

The development arrives as Malta welcomes its first direct flights from New York, potentially expanding the island's appeal to North American leisure travelers seeking luxury dining and nightlife experiences. St. George's Bay, located in the waterfront St. Julian's area roughly 20 minutes by car from Valletta, has established itself as a tourism hub.

Lifestyle Group made its international debut in autumn 2025 with AKI London, an expansion of its Valletta-founded restaurant. The group operates a diverse portfolio of premium restaurants and casual eateries across Malta under parent company db Group.
