Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken is marking National Mashed Potato Day on October 18 with a free side promotion and social media giveaway. Guests who spend at least $5 in-store at participating Lee's restaurants can claim a complimentary regular side of the chain's mashed potatoes and gravy on Sunday, October 18. The potatoes are made with Idahoan brand potatoes.
Social Media Giveaway Lee's is also partnering with Idahoan Foods to offer 10 exclusive prize packs themed around chicken and potatoes. Fans can enter the giveaway by commenting on a designated post on Lee's Instagram page on October 18. Prize packs include Lee's branded merchandise and other items. "Our mashed potatoes and gravy have been a guest favorite for 60 years, and National Mashed Potato Day is a great reason to put them in the spotlight," said Dan Sokolik, vice president of marketing for Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken. "We're excited to celebrate with our partners at Idahoan and give guests something extra, whether that's a free side with their meal or a chance to win some exclusive Lee's merchandise."
