Lawrence Group has hired Katlyn Garcia as Controller, marking her return to the St. Louis-based architecture and design firm after a nearly two-year absence.

Garcia previously worked in Lawrence Group's accounting department for nearly a decade, joining in 2014 as an Accounting Services Coordinator before her promotion to Accounting Services Manager in 2023. She departed later that year to pursue leadership opportunities elsewhere.

Most recently, Garcia served as Controller at Rick's Ace Hardware in Manchester, Missouri. Her background also includes roles as Accounting Manager at Gateway Studios & Production Services and B&B Concrete Contractors, both St. Louis-area firms.

New Role

In her controller position, Garcia will oversee Lawrence Group's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance efforts. The firm cited her role as integral to supporting its continued growth and financial management strategy.

Garcia holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and an MBA in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
