Anime-Themed Promotion Drives Seasonal Menu Push
JINYA Ramen Bar is tapping into anime fandom this summer with a "Dragon Ball Z" collectible pin collaboration tied to its new seasonal menu, available starting June 1 through August 31 at participating locations.
Customers who order the Creamy Tonkotsu Ramen—a pork and soy broth topped with pork chashu, seasoned egg, green onion, kikurage, leek, crispy garlic and garlic spicy miso—will receive one of three exclusive pins featuring characters Goku, Vegeta, or Shenron while supplies last. Pins are only available with dine-in orders.
Summer Menu Additions
Beyond the featured ramen, JINYA's summer lineup includes the Hokkaido Mille Crepe, a rolled mille crêpe served with vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce and raspberry.
Tomo Takahashi, founder and CEO of JINYA Ramen Bar, framed the collaboration as an extension of the chain's creative philosophy. "This season is about pushing creativity while staying true to what makes ramen special," Takahashi said. "With 'Dragon Ball Z' in the mix, it feels like we're bringing a bit of that larger-than-life energy into the kitchen. The Chef's Specials reflect that spirit of transformation — familiar comfort, elevated to its next form — while the collaboration creates an exciting experience for 'Dragon Ball Z' fans and ramen lovers alike."
Limited Availability
The specials exclude JINYA Express locations and outlets in Wichita, Bushi, Ameristar Black Hawk, and Eastvale. Online ordering is available, though collectible pins are reserved for in-restaurant purchases.
Why It Matters
Licensed character collaborations have proven effective traffic drivers in QSR, particularly among younger demographics. By bundling limited-edition collectibles with seasonal menu items, JINYA creates urgency while building brand loyalty through a tangible takeaway—a strategy increasingly popular among growth-focused chains.
