Las Vegas Pub Ramps Up for Summer Soccer Tournament
The Irish Spot, located at 1350 E. Tropicana Ave., will begin showing matches starting with the Mexico vs. South Africa opening match at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, continuing through the final on Sunday, July 19. The pub will open early for morning matches and stay open as long as games are being broadcast.
The venue, which reopened under new ownership following the closure of the former Crown & Anchor, is positioning itself as a destination for soccer fans seeking a community viewing experience. With 16 televisions offering sightlines from every seat and full audio on every match, the pub aims to accommodate groups of varying sizes.
Special Pricing and Extended Hours
Drink specials will run throughout the tournament, including $7 Gran Centenario Reposado shots and $10 hand-crafted margaritas featuring Gran Centenario Tequila. Stella Artois is being offered at $5 per pint or $20 per bucket, while White Claw hard seltzers are priced at $6 per can or $25 per bucket.
Ryan Whelan, managing partner of The Irish Spot, said: "The World Cup has a way of bringing people together unlike anything else, and that spirit already exists within these walls. This has long been a gathering place for Las Vegas locals and football fans alike, and we're excited to carry that tradition forward while welcoming a new generation of guests to experience it during one of the biggest sporting events in the world."
The pub operates Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to midnight. More information is available at theirishspot.com or by calling 702-389-3808.
Why It Matters
For Las Vegas operators, major sporting tournaments represent high-traffic opportunities that can drive beverage sales and justify extended operating hours. The Irish Spot's strategy of combining competitive drink pricing with reliable sightlines addresses core fan needs during tournament viewing—a proven playbook that other bars and restaurants can replicate during major sporting events.
