Intimate Lakeside Dining Concept Debuts at Il Sereno Il Sereno has opened Al Tramonto, a five-table candlelit restaurant positioned just beyond the hotel's terrace on Lake Como. The concept centers on sunset dining as its organizing principle, with each table oriented to capture the lake's evening light and reflections. Executive Chef Raffaele Lenzie oversees a menu built around seasonal Italian ingredients and refined takes on classic dishes. Antipasti include vitello tonnato with capers, burrata with tomato and oregano, and Parmigiano Reggiano with honey and lemon. House-made pasta offerings feature tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce, spaghetti with tomato and mozzarella, and a daily chef's creation. Secondi selections include grilled vegetables, salmon with zucchini and mint, roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, cherry tomatoes and capers, and daily fish preparations with seasonal accompaniments. Desserts span traditional Italian options: tiramisù, homemade gelato and sorbets, and a tartlet with chocolate cream and raspberries. The experience is paired with a curated wine list.

Why It Matters

The restaurant reflects a broader hospitality trend toward ultra-intimate, experience-driven dining tied to location and natural phenomena—a positioning that commands premium pricing and appeals to affluent, time-rich travelers seeking differentiation from conventional luxury resort dining.
