Huey Magoo's is running a monthlong fundraising campaign in September, asking customers at participating locations to round up their in-store purchases to the next dollar in support of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Every cent collected will go toward the foundation's work in advancing spinal cord injury research and improving quality of life for individuals and families living with paralysis. The campaign coincides with Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. "The Reeve Foundation is near and dear to my family," said Andy Howard, president and CEO of Huey Magoo's. "We're honored to support the foundation's incredible work and invite guests at participating Huey Magoo's locations to join us this September by rounding up their in-store purchase. Even the smallest donation can make a meaningful difference in advancing life-changing care, groundbreaking research and hope for individuals and families living with paralysis." The partnership reflects the Orlando-based fast-casual chain's stated commitment to leveraging its expanding footprint for community support. Huey Magoo's, founded in 2004, now operates locations across 12 states. The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, established in 1982, operates the National Paralysis Resource Center and supports research, peer support programs, and educational resources for the paralysis community.

Why It Matters

Cause-marketing campaigns tied to in-store transactions remain a straightforward way for restaurant chains to engage customers in charitable giving without requiring separate donations. For operators, such programs can reinforce brand values and deepen customer loyalty while supporting external missions.
