A 24-hour gaming and hospitality destination in Inglewood is leveraging its position at the center of Los Angeles' fastest-growing sports corridor. Hollywood Park Casino is marking 10 years in its current 110,000-square-foot building with a week of anniversary programming through October 24, while the neighborhood prepares for two of the world's biggest sporting events.
SoFi Stadium — within walking distance of the property — will host The Big Game LXI on February 14, 2027. LA28's Inglewood zone is slated to host swimming, basketball, the Olympic and Paralympic opening ceremonies, and the Main Press Center, making the area a sustained focal point for international visitors over the next two years. For hospitality operators, that kind of multi-year demand window is rare, and Hollywood Park Casino has been building its infrastructure around it since the current building opened in September 2016 — the first new venue to take shape as the broader Hollywood Park redevelopment got underway.
The Hospitality Stack
The property's dining and event footprint has grown into a core part of its offering. Century Bar & Grill, Raise Lounge, and the Turf Club cover the range from casual dining and cocktails to private event hosting. Outdoor-deck programming ties directly to the Chargers game-day calendar, positioning the casino as a pre- and post-event destination rather than a standalone stop. That model — anchoring food, beverage, and social space around a major stadium neighbor — reflects a broader restaurant and hospitality strategy that operators across the country have adopted in stadium-adjacent corridors.
"A great entertainment district needs places people return to between its biggest events," said Christopher Meany, executive managing director of Hollywood Park Casino Company, LLC. "Hollywood Park Casino was an early investment in that idea. Its next decade is an opportunity to welcome a broader audience while continuing to serve the people who come here every week."
A 300-room Kali Hotel is currently under development at Hollywood Park, which will add overnight accommodation to an area that until recently had limited lodging options. For food and beverage operators considering the corridor, the hotel's arrival signals a maturing destination with the overnight infrastructure to support extended-stay visitors during major events.
Community and Economic Footprint
The casino employs approximately 650 people — a majority of whom have been with the property since it opened in 2016, and some since its original 1994 debut. That workforce stability is notable in a hospitality segment that has faced significant labor retention challenges in recent years. Inglewood's adopted budget reports $5.15 million in card-club monthly fees collected from the property in fiscal year 2024–25, and the casino's community programming includes a Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles poker tournament that raised more than $52,000 for youth programs in 2024.
General Manager Deven Kumar framed the anniversary in terms of continuity: "Our longtime employees know what keeps regulars coming back. As more people discover this part of Los Angeles, we want that same sense of welcome to be part of their first visit."
For the broader foodservice and hospitality industry, the Hollywood Park corridor offers a case study in how mixed-use development — combining gaming, dining, lodging, and stadium proximity — can create durable demand that outlasts any single marquee event. Anniversary programming runs through October 24, with an October 22 event featuring mentalist Jon Stetson.
