Gaylord Pacific Brings Signature Ice Attraction West Gaylord Pacific Resort & Convention Center will debut ice!, the Gaylord Hotels signature holiday attraction, on the West Coast for the first time. The immersive ice experience, featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas, runs from November 20, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Inside the 9-degree environment, guests can explore more than two million pounds of hand-carved ice transformed into scenes from the beloved Peanuts holiday special. The attraction includes character sculptures of Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Lucy, and Linus, colorful passageways, photo moments, and two-story ice slides. More than 30 expert ice artisans from Harbin, China will spend approximately 40 days hand-carving the installation.
Resort-Wide Holiday Programming Beyond the ice experience, Gaylord Pacific will transform with millions of twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and festive décor. Holiday activities include Peanuts character dining experiences, ice tubing, Santa visits, and other seasonal entertainment.
Why It Matters
The attraction positions Gaylord Pacific as a significant holiday destination for Southern California families and travelers seeking extended seasonal experiences. The 40-day hand-carving process and scale of the installation underscore the operational complexity of resort-based holiday programming, while the Peanuts licensing aligns with proven brand appeal for multi-generational visitation during peak travel periods.
