Foods & Dudes, the nationally recognized culinary video series built around the tagline Cooking. Culture. Conversation., is stepping off the screen and into a live-event format with THE SEVEN — an intimate, multi-course tasting dinner scheduled for Saturday, September 5, at a private Hamptons residence.

The evening pairs seven chef-crafted dinner courses — each inspired by one of the Seven Wonders of the World — with seven curated drink pairings and seven structured conversation topics introduced alongside each new course. After dinner, guests move to a private beach for AFTER SEVEN, a standalone experience featuring live entertainment and seven dessert tastings under the stars.

The Format and Experience

The event is the work of husband-and-wife founders Tricia Messeroux-Curwen, an acclaimed photographer and award-winning producer, and Shawn "Mr. Fantastic" Curwen, host of Foods & Dudes. The pair are positioning THE SEVEN as both a consumer experience and a production opportunity: the evening will be filmed as a potential episode or pilot for the Foods & Dudes brand. Broadway performer Sheherazade Holman, known for her role in The Wiz, will perform during dinner, while DJ Chuck Chillout will headline the beach reception.

"Food has always been the invitation to the magic that happens around the table," said Shawn Curwen. "That's where strangers become friends, ideas are exchanged, and relationships begin." Tricia Messeroux-Curwen added that the goal is for guests to leave remembering not just what they ate, but who they met and what they learned.

Why Operators Should Pay Attention

The format is a textbook example of a trend gaining real traction across the restaurant and hospitality landscape: food-media brands converting loyal digital audiences into paying guests at high-touch, limited-seat live events. By capping attendance to preserve intimacy, the organizers are applying the scarcity-and-exclusivity model that has driven strong ticket sales for similar chef-collaboration dinners and supper-club formats in major markets.

The structured conversation component — covering topics such as men's health, financial wellness, relationships, and legacy — also reflects a broader shift in experiential dining away from pure gastronomy and toward programming that gives guests a reason to attend beyond the food itself. For operators exploring private dining activations or branded event revenue, the Foods & Dudes model illustrates how a defined editorial point of view can be monetized as an experience, not just content. Broader experiential hospitality coverage continues to show this segment outperforming traditional à la carte formats in guest satisfaction and repeat engagement.

Seating for THE SEVEN is intentionally limited. Reservations are open at www.foodsanddudes.com/the-seven.
