Flair Vacations LP, the newly launched vacation package division of Canadian budget carrier Flair Airlines, has signed a hotel connectivity agreement with IBS Software that will put Caribbean and Mexico accommodation inventory in front of Canadian travelers beginning November 2026. The deal centers on IBS Software's iStay Gateway platform, which gives the startup vacation business a single technical connection to hotel supply without requiring it to build individual integrations from scratch.

The partnership is a direct response to one of the most acute challenges facing any new vacation packager: securing hotel room supply at scale, fast. Flair Vacations will offer bundled flight-and-hotel packages from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton to destinations including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana, Puerto Plata, and Montego Bay — all high-demand winter sun corridors for Canadian leisure travelers.

What iStay Gateway Delivers

iStay Gateway handles rate and availability distribution, booking, and content delivery across IBS Software's existing network of hotel supply partners. Because the platform already serves established airline vacation brands, Flair Vacations gains immediate access to that network rather than negotiating and building supplier connections independently. The arrangement lets the Flair Vacations team concentrate resources on packaging, pricing, and sales operations rather than technology infrastructure.

"For a new vacation business, access to hotel supply at scale is critical," said Steffan Berelowitz, VP of Hospitality Solutions at IBS Software. "iStay Gateway gives Flair Vacations the connectivity and flexibility to get to market quickly and expand its offering as demand grows."

Nicole Bursey, President of Flair Vacations, framed the decision around speed-to-market: "Getting to market quickly with the right hotel choice mattered to us, and IBS Software gave us a proven route to that supply."

Implications for Hospitality Operators

For hoteliers and resort operators in the Caribbean and Mexico, the deal opens a new Canadian distribution channel tied to Flair Airlines' value-focused customer base — a segment that prioritizes affordability but still represents meaningful volume given the airline's established network. Canada's airline vacation market is intensely competitive, with major carriers and dedicated tour operators already entrenched in the winter-sun category. Flair Vacations enters on a value-based fare proposition inherited from its parent airline, which could pressure yield for competing packages but also stimulates incremental demand from price-sensitive Canadian households who might otherwise skip a winter trip.

The scope of the agreement is currently limited to hotel connectivity for Flair Vacations' packaging business. Both companies indicated they will review additional modules within the iStay portfolio — which includes a Central Reservation System, call center tools, and a booking engine — as the vacation division scales its destination mix and passenger volumes.

For hospitality technology observers, the deal is a reminder that new entrants in the leisure travel space are increasingly bypassing bespoke integration projects in favor of platform-based connectivity. That trend accelerates time-to-market but also concentrates distribution leverage within a handful of gateway providers. Operators tracking hospitality technology trends and travel distribution strategy should note how gateway models are reshaping the supply relationship between hotels and airline-affiliated vacation sellers.
