Farm Bar is launching its first Good Apple Days celebration this weekend, a three-day event running October 2-4 at both its Lakeview and Ravenswood locations in Chicago. The autumn-focused menu spotlights apples from Brown Dog Farm, owned by Farm Bar's owner TJ Callahan. Featured dishes include Autumn Apple Pork Belly Bites with apple butter BBQ sauce, Apple Cider Bruschetta with apple and Brussels sprout caponata, prosciutto and stracciatella, an Autumn Apple Salad, and applewood-smoked short rib with apple molasses and apple demi-glace. Guests can also add a side of Brown Dog Farm Apple Butter.
Drinks and Desserts Apple-forward beverages include Cider Sangria, Orchard Spritz, and Johnny Mac Cider made exclusively with apples grown at Brown Dog Farm. Hot Apple Cider rounds out the drink lineup. For dessert, the menu offers a Caramel Apple Sundae and a decorate-your-own apple dessert with caramel, chocolate sauce, and chocolate chips.
Loyalty Program Every guest receives a sealed "Bounce-Back Envelope" with their bill, with guaranteed prizes inside designed to encourage return visits before year-end. Prizes range from discounts and complimentary dishes to gift cards, Farm Bar merchandise, a free Thanksgiving To-Go Dinner, and the opportunity to adopt an apple tree at Brown Dog Farm. Envelopes must remain sealed until guests return to open them with a Farm Bar server or bartender. Reservations can be made on OpenTable at both locations.
Why It Matters
Good Apple Days represents a test of seasonal menu programming and bounce-back loyalty mechanics for Farm Bar, two tactics operators increasingly deploy to drive frequency during slower periods and strengthen off-premise meal tie-ins.
