Digital tipping and gratuity management platform eTip has joined the Toast Partner Ecosystem, giving Toast-powered restaurants a direct connection to automated tip pooling, instant employee payouts, and back-office reconciliation tools — all without manual data entry.
The integration imports sales and labor data from Toast point-of-sale systems to calculate tip pools, splits, and tip shares according to each restaurant's customized policies. Once a manager approves the distribution, funds move directly to employees' preferred bank accounts, cutting out cash handling, pay cards, and the spreadsheet workflows that have long burdened floor managers. For operators, that translates into fewer hours spent on end-of-shift reconciliation and reduced exposure to tip-compliance errors.

Despite the near-universal shift to digital payments in foodservice, most independent and chain restaurants still rely on manual processes to close out tip cycles.
