Nashville-based Eileen posted 105% revenue growth in Q2 2026 and closed an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by Top Shelf Ventures, with strategic participation from DisPact Ventures — a signal that shelf-visibility technology is becoming a genuine priority for emerging CPG brands competing for limited retail real estate.

The platform connects food and beverage brands with a network of more than 35,000 everyday shoppers who capture photo-verified, GPS-timestamped store data covering inventory levels, pricing, display compliance, SKU placement, and competitive context. Results are returned in two to five days, with no minimum commitment and pricing starting at $5 per store — a deliberate contrast to the enterprise-tier contracts that have historically locked out smaller brands.

The Founder's Origin Story

Founder and CEO Jordan Karcher came to the problem through direct operational experience. His background spans beverage alcohol distribution — his father operated Charmer Sunbelt houses, now Breakthru Beverage — as well as stints at Korbel Champagne Cellars and William Grant & Sons. He later founded and sold Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co. Scaling that brand into national retail, he found no affordable tool that could tell him what was actually on a shelf in real time. Eileen was built to close that gap.

"Doubling our revenue in a quarter tells us the pain is universal and nobody was serving it," Karcher said. "Brands were being asked to choose between an enterprise contract they couldn't afford and flying blind. With Eileen, the brand knows there's a problem before the distributor does, and often before the store does."

What the Platform Delivers

The Campaign Hub aggregates shopper submissions — geo-fenced, timestamped, computer-vision verified, and human-enriched — into reports that surface out-of-stocks, missing SKUs, price variance, facing counts, promotional compliance gaps, and competitive benchmarking by store, chain, and region. The collaborative format lets brands and distributor partners work from the same evidence base, including photos and timestamps.

New capabilities rolled out alongside the funding news include gamified mobile capture, proprietary computer vision models, real-time competitive benchmarking, and authorization SKU gap detection. That last feature proved its value in a documented case study: Eileen identified 19 authorization gaps for emerging RTD cocktail brand The Original Southside in Whole Foods California alone — SKUs the brand was authorized to sell that were simply absent from the shelf. "We brought this discrepancy up to our buyer which helped trigger a 117-case reorder for us," said Meredith Mills-Merritt, Founder of The Original Southside.

For operators and buyers tracking how beverage and food brands manage retail distribution, Eileen's model reflects a broader shift toward democratized retail intelligence. Historically, shelf-audit tools required six-figure contracts and lengthy implementation timelines, leaving emerging brands — particularly in competitive segments like ready-to-drink cocktails and specialty food — unable to verify whether their distribution agreements were actually being executed at the store level. Eileen's no-contract, pay-per-store structure removes that barrier, which may accelerate adoption among the long tail of emerging CPG brands that populate independent and regional retail channels.
