Expansion Adds Daytime and Late-Night Service to South Boston Spanish Restaurant Dalia, Chef Nicholas Dixon's Spanish-inspired wood-fired restaurant in South Boston, is expanding its service model this summer with weekend brunch and a new downstairs cocktail lounge. Weekend brunch service begins July 25 and runs Saturdays and Sundays from 10am–2pm. The menu features Spanish-influenced daytime dishes including tortillas (egg omelettes), bocadillos, and Spanish sweets. Signature items include Migas Dalia with Spanish chorizo, guanciale, house-baked bread, and piparra peppers; Huevos Estrellados with crispy potato chips, jamón, and fried egg aioli; and Torrija—Spain's version of French toast with milk bread, dulce de leche, and macerated berries. Sweet options include churros with dark chocolate and rum bananas.
Leopard Lounge Opens Downstairs Leopard Lounge, located beneath Dalia's main dining room, debuts as an intimate late-night destination. Designed by Assembly Design Studio, the 75-seat space features velvet banquettes, vintage mirrors, warm lighting, and bold palm-motif wallpaper. The lounge operates Thursday–Saturday, 5pm–1am, and serves a focused menu of Dalia signature dishes alongside exclusive cocktails. According to the restaurant, Leopard Lounge was "conceived as its own experience: a refined, design-forward room where guests can settle in for dinner, cocktails, or a later evening out while still rooted in the culinary standards and atmosphere that have defined Dalia since opening." Chef Dixon previously built a brunch following at Lincoln Tavern, where a test-kitchen format became one of Boston's most popular weekend destinations. Reservations are available through SevenRooms.
Why It Matters
Dalia's expansion reflects how sought-after independents and group-backed restaurants are capturing additional revenue streams by extending service hours and creating distinct dining environments within a single footprint. The brunch launch and lounge strategy allow the restaurant to compete across dayparts while maintaining brand consistency.
