Cure Hydration has entered all 4,500 Walmart stores and Walmart.com as of August 27, placing its plant-based electrolyte stick packs — including the Cure Kids line — in front of millions of families shopping the mass channel. The move significantly widens distribution for the female-founded brand, which now counts more than 27,000 retail doors nationwide.
What's on Shelf
Walmart's opening assortment spans four SKUs: a Watermelon 10-count box ($15.98), a Strawberry Kiwi 10-count box ($15.98), a Classic Variety Pack 16-count box ($24.98) featuring Watermelon, Strawberry Kiwi, Berry Pomegranate, and Lemonade, and a Cure Kids Variety Pack 6-count pouch ($10.98) with Mixed Berry, Pink Lemonade, and Fruit Punch. Price points are designed for everyday purchase, not specialty-channel premium positioning.
All products are formulated on the World Health Organization's Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) framework, using coconut water, pink Himalayan salt, and real fruit juice powders. The full portfolio carries Non-GMO Project Verification, Certified Gluten-Free and Certified Kosher status, and is produced without added sugar, sugar alcohols, artificial sweeteners, synthetic dyes, or flavors. Third-party testing covers heavy metals, allergens, and microbes.
Channel Momentum
The Walmart launch follows a run of retailer wins that underscores growing buyer appetite for clean-label, functional hydration beyond the specialty grocery aisle. Over the past year, Cure secured a nationwide launch at Target, an expanded assortment at Whole Foods Market, and a placement in the Ulta Beauty Wellness Shop — a non-traditional door that signals the brand's crossover into lifestyle and wellness retail. For operators and buyers tracking the beverage industry's better-for-you trends, Cure's trajectory illustrates how ORS-based formats are migrating from sports-nutrition shelves into mainstream family shopping baskets.
"Walmart is where millions of families turn for the products they rely on every day, so this launch represents an important step toward making science-backed hydration more accessible," said Laura Kendrick, Chief Marketing Officer of Cure Hydration. Her framing centers the brand's positioning on household utility — sick days, school mornings, workouts — rather than athletic performance alone, a segmentation play that widens the addressable consumer base considerably.
On the product-development side, Cure has added Peach Mango and Raspberry to its adult Hydration line and expanded Cure Kids with Green Apple and Classic Grape. The brand also broadened its Medical Advisory Board to include leading OBGYNs, enabling pregnancy- and breastfeeding-safe claims across the adult portfolio — a move that further differentiates it from conventional sports drinks in a crowded hydration set. Retail buyers and foodservice operators sourcing functional beverages for hospitality wellness programs should note the brand's clean-label credentials and expanding restaurant and hospitality beverage coverage context around better-for-you hydration at scale.
