A new seasonal SKU from Culture Pop Soda is betting that the fall flavor window—long dominated by pumpkin spice—has room for a probiotic sparkling apple soda. The brand's Limited-Edition Sparkling Apple went on sale September 8, available for nationwide shipping at drinkculturepop.com and on Amazon, with retail placement at Albertsons, Wegmans, Giant Food, H-E-B, Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Jewel-Osco, Big Y, and additional regional chains.
What's in the Can
Sparkling Apple is made with a blend of apple juices from concentrate and carries a live probiotic, consistent with the brand's existing lineup. The formulation contains no stevia, no refined sugar, and no artificial or high-intensity sweeteners—a positioning that continues to distinguish Culture Pop in an increasingly crowded functional soda segment. It arrives in a gold can, a deliberate shelf-differentiation move for the limited run.
Founder and CEO Tom First, who co-founded Nantucket Nectars before launching Culture Pop in 2020, drew a direct line between the two brands in describing the new SKU. "Apple was one of the most beloved Nantucket Nectars flavors," First said. "It's somewhere between a crisp apple and a sparkling cider: refreshing, not too sweet and full of apple flavor."
Retail and Operator Implications
For beverage buyers and foodservice operators tracking the better-for-you soda category, the Sparkling Apple launch illustrates how emerging brands are using limited-edition seasonal releases to drive trial and expand retail velocity without permanently extending their core SKU count. The strategy mirrors approaches taken across the beverage industry analysis space, where seasonal drops can generate outsized shelf attention relative to their production commitment.
Culture Pop's retail footprint—spanning conventional grocers, natural-channel accounts, and direct-to-consumer—gives the limited edition broad exposure during the critical September-through-November selling season. The accompanying "Refreshingly Crisp" fall campaign is designed to support sell-through at those accounts.
The brand also carries meaningful growth credentials that matter to category buyers. Culture Pop ranked No. 697 on the 2026 Inc. 5000 and is on track to surpass $25 million in revenue this year, according to the company. Those numbers position it as a credible challenger brand for retailers looking to diversify away from legacy soda in their restaurant and hospitality beverage cooler sets. Culture Pop's full lineup is Whole30 Approved, certified non-GMO, gluten-free, plant-based, shelf-stable, and kosher—attributes that widen its addressable retail and foodservice channel opportunities.
