Las Vegas Union Health System Reaches Fourth Location The Culinary Health Fund celebrated the opening of Culinary Health Center – Tropicana on August 14, marking the completion of a healthcare network designed specifically for union members and their families. The 98,900-square-foot facility, located at Tropicana Avenue and Decatur Boulevard near the Strip, is expected to handle approximately 100,000 patient visits annually and employ about 200 people, including more than 40 healthcare providers.

Comprehensive Services Under One Roof The new center features 43 primary care rooms, 15 dental care rooms, 18 physical therapy evaluation rooms, mental health counseling, laboratory services, and a two-lane drive-through pharmacy. Advanced radiology services include X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and bone density testing, with MRI services planned within several months. Oral surgery will be introduced as a new service at this location. Culinary members receive primary care and prescription medications at no cost with zero copay, and comprehensive family health insurance with no premiums deducted from paychecks, no deductibles, and no coinsurance.

Nearly a Decade of Expansion The Tropicana location completes a network that began with the Nellis Boulevard center in June 2017, followed by Durango in May 2023 and Craig in April 2025. Since 2017, the four Culinary Health Centers have provided more than 573,550 primary care visits. Across all locations, approximately 800 people are employed, including more than 200 healthcare providers. "The opening of our fourth Culinary Health Center is an extraordinary milestone and something we are incredibly proud to celebrate," said Jesus Vidueria, President of the Culinary Health Fund. "For nearly a decade, we have been building a nonprofit healthcare system designed specifically for working families—one that puts our members first by providing high-quality care, greater access and helping protect them from rising healthcare costs."

Serving Nearby Communities The Tropicana center strategically expands access in an area where nearly 32,000 Culinary members live. The Culinary Health Fund serves more than 120,000 members and their dependents across Southern Nevada. The opening ceremony included a Lion Dance, an Asian cultural celebration symbolizing good fortune. Approximately 15 percent of Culinary Union members are Asian, representing more than 9,000 workers across Southern Nevada.

Preventive Focus The center will emphasize preventive health and education, with up to 150 wellness classes planned in its first year covering topics including diabetes management, high blood pressure, and breastfeeding education for expecting parents.
