Cruise Planners debuted 23 technology innovations at its annual CP World 2026 conference in Fort Lauderdale, anchored by five AI-powered tools designed to automate research, marketing, and sales prospecting for the franchise network's roughly 3,000 travel advisors.
The announcements signal how deeply AI is embedding itself in the hospitality technology landscape, reshaping not just how hotels and cruise lines operate but how the advisors who sell travel experiences run their day-to-day businesses.
The Five Flagship Tools
The centerpiece, Maxx Assist, lives inside the company's proprietary CP Maxx platform and lets advisors research flights, transfers, hotels, excursions, and insurance through a single conversational interface. It uses the context of an existing cruise booking — destination, dates, client history — to accelerate full-trip construction. Alongside it, Maxx Reach functions as a weekly AI sales engine, matching promotions and sailings to individual clients based on past travel behavior, marketing engagement, and supplier loyalty signals. Each recommendation surfaces a Maxx Reach Score, a suggested offer, and ready-to-use talking points.
Genius Agents rounds out the marketing automation story with three specialized AI workers: a Reputation Agent that drafts on-brand review responses and flags sensitive feedback for human review; a Search Agent that optimizes local business listings for discoverability; and a Social Agent that generates and publishes brand-consistent content while routing anything sensitive back to the advisor. The agents learn from advisor feedback over time.
On the operational side, an upgraded Trip Summary itinerary builder introduces two-way synchronization between proposals and live bookings, integrated hotel imagery, supplier confirmation imports, and client-view tracking — all at no additional cost within CP Maxx. Completing the lineup, Maxx SharePlace opens a peer-to-peer resource library where advisors can contribute and access flyers, templates, newsletter assets, and text snippets created across the network.
What It Means for the Industry
The sheer volume of launches — 23 in a single calendar year — illustrates the accelerating pace of AI adoption in travel and hospitality services. For franchise-model businesses in particular, centralized AI tooling can level the playing field between solo operators and larger agencies, automating tasks that would otherwise require dedicated marketing or data-analytics staff.
"We don't wait for the future of travel technology. We build it," said Michelle Fee, CEO and Founder of Cruise Planners. "While others are still talking about what AI can do, we're delivering powerful, practical solutions that are transforming how our advisors run their businesses."
Franchise owner Alena Einfeldt, based in Hollywood, Florida, pointed to time savings as the most immediate benefit. "Between simplifying vacation research, automating marketing, and identifying new sales opportunities, we're eliminating hours of work that used to be done manually," she said. "That means more time to connect with clients, close sales and focus on growing our businesses."
Beyond the five headliners, the 2026 innovation slate includes Flight Tracker enhancements, Ask Maxx V2, an AI Cruise Import tool, AI Cruise Search, Hotel Sheets, and the Maxx Adventures gamified training module, among others. Specialty marketing magazines covering river expeditions, romance travel, and luxury sailings give advisors evergreen content distributed digitally at no cost through their advisor websites.
CP World 2026, held at the Broward County Convention Center, drew more than 1,300 advisors and supplier partners for training, a trade show, and executive panels from leading cruise, tour, and resort brands. The conference concluded with a four-night sailing aboard Princess Cruises' Star Princess to Grand Turk, incorporating additional educational sessions at sea.
