Two longtime Classic Vacations leaders have stepped into expanded roles as the luxury travel company and its parent, TBO.COM, restructure supply management across global regions. Joelle Apilado Cruz has been named Senior Vice President, Supply Management – Americas, and Bonty Escallon has been promoted to Vice President, Supply Management – Europe — moves that formalize a new Americas regional structure within the combined enterprise.
The Appointments
Cruz brings nearly 25 years with Classic Vacations to her expanded role, where she will oversee supply strategy, supplier partnerships, and contracting across existing and new destinations for both Classic and TBO. Her portfolio spans air, hotels, experiences, and travel protection — the core pillars of the company's luxury itinerary business, which serves a high-value network of travel advisors affiliated with major consortia including Virtuoso, Signature, and Travel Leaders Network.
Escallon, with close to 30 years at Classic Vacations, will direct the European supply business, taking on portfolio strategy, supplier partnerships, contracting, and product development across the continent. Her deep supplier relationships and knowledge of Europe's luxury travel landscape are central to TBO's ambitions for regional growth.
Why It Matters for the Industry
"These appointments mark an important step in creating a unified, high-performance global supply organization," said Peter Palli, Chief Supply Officer, TBO.
The promotions signal that TBO is moving deliberately to integrate Classic Vacations' advisor-centric supply model into its broader B2B distribution infrastructure — a platform that connects more than 200,000 travel advisors with over one million suppliers across more than 100 countries. For hospitality operators and hotel partners in the Americas and Europe, the leadership changes mean clearer regional points of contact and potentially more structured contracting pipelines as TBO scales its luxury product offerings.
Classic Vacations itself has operated as an advisor-first, full-service luxury travel company since its founding in 1978, and its white-glove service model for complex itineraries remains a key differentiator within TBO's portfolio. That model — and the supplier relationships that underpin it — now falls under two executives who have shaped it for decades. Industry observers tracking hospitality distribution trends and travel advisor partnerships will recognize this as part of a broader consolidation pattern among B2B travel platforms seeking to regionalize oversight while preserving specialist expertise at the supplier-relationship level.
