Califia Farms is rolling out two limited-edition Banana Crème products nationwide—a Simple & Organic Banana Crème Almond Creamer and a Banana Crème Almondmilk Latte—positioning the launches around growing consumer demand for café-inspired flavors in the at-home and grab-and-go channels.
The Two SKUs
The Simple & Organic Banana Crème Almond Creamer ($6.49 MSRP, 25.4 oz) is USDA Certified Organic, made with real banana puree and organic almond milk, and formulated without gums or oils. It is designed to blend into hot or iced coffee. The Banana Crème Almondmilk Latte ($6.49 MSRP, 48 oz) combines bold coffee, almond milk, and real banana puree in a ready-to-drink format—shake, pour over ice, done. Both SKUs share a clean-ingredient positioning that has become a consistent throughline for the brand since it expanded its organic line in 2023.
Why It Matters for Operators
For foodservice buyers and retail grocery operators, the launches signal where flavor innovation is heading in the plant-based beverage industry. Banana-forward coffee drinks have gained traction in independent cafés and chain menus alike, and Califia's move to bottle that trend in a retail-ready format reflects the ongoing blurring of the café and grocery channels. Beverage managers at hotels, corporate dining accounts, and convenience operators sourcing RTD coffee should note the 48 oz latte format, which works for self-serve stations and grab-and-go coolers without requiring any preparation.
Suzanne Ginestro, Chief Marketing Officer at Califia Farms, framed the timing around what she called the "banana boom"—the rapid spread of banana crème as a café flavor across menus and social media. "The banana boom allowed us to embrace the first delightful, creamy sip of Banana Crème in a way that's delicious, accessible, and unmistakably Califia," Ginestro said.
Plant-Based Shelf Context
Califía has built its retail footprint across plant milks, creamers, barista-format products, and ready-to-drink coffees since its founding in 2010. The brand converted its bottles to 100% recycled plastic and has been working with almond growers on organic crop programs—sustainability credentials that carry weight with grocery buyers under ESG pressure. The Banana Crème additions fit neatly into a broader category pattern: limited-edition flavor drops that test consumer appetite before potential permanent placement, a tactic widely used across the plant-based and non-dairy segment to manage production risk while generating shelf excitement.
Both products are available nationwide now. Operators and retail buyers can use the brand's online store locator to confirm distribution in their market.
