A data-driven distribution deal is reshaping how U.S. premium travelers book Turkish Airlines itineraries. Business-Class.com has formalized a direct partnership with Turkish Airlines, integrating with TKCONNECT — the carrier's New Distribution Capability (NDC) platform — to give its advisor network access to fares and ancillary offers unavailable through traditional GDS channels.
What the Data Revealed
The deal was shaped by internal booking data at Business-Class.com showing that 78% of its U.S. travelers on Turkish Airlines were using Istanbul as a connecting point rather than a final destination. Between them, those travelers reached 90 countries — with particularly strong growth in bookings to African destinations including Cape Town, Kigali, and Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania's northern safari circuit. The pattern pointed to a network complexity that standard distribution wasn't built to handle efficiently.
"What stands out in our data is the extraordinary connectivity Istanbul offers U.S. travelers," said Jonathan Fitzsimons, Chief Commercial Officer at Business-Class.com. "Four in five of our U.S. travelers on Turkish Airlines are going somewhere else, and between them they reached 90 countries. A network that large is only useful if someone can help you find your way through it, and that is the part we do."
Why Direct Distribution Matters
The TKCONNECT integration moves Business-Class.com advisors out of intermediated channels and into Turkish Airlines' own offer engine. That shift means access to exclusive branded fares, fuller fare and product transparency, and — critically for complex multi-region itineraries — the ability to service changes and refunds directly with the carrier. For hospitality and travel professionals who manage high-touch client trips across multiple continents, that servicing capability is operationally significant. A straightforward round-trip doesn't need it; a three-continent itinerary with a midpoint stopover does.
Turkish Airlines VP of Sales Americas Sedat Orman framed the partnership around the Istanbul hub's dual appeal: "We look forward to bringing Turkish Airlines' unparalleled network and inflight experience closer to premium travelers across the U.S., showing how Istanbul can add something to the journey, whether it is the destination itself or the gateway to the wider world."
Eligible U.S. passengers can extend that transit through the airline's Stopover in Istanbul program, which offers Economy Class travelers two complimentary hotel nights and Business Class travelers three nights at a five-star or boutique property.
Scale and Service Standards
Turkish Airlines, recognized by Guinness World Records as the airline flying to more countries than any other, operates nonstop flights to Istanbul from 14 U.S. gateways across a fleet of more than 560 aircraft serving 133 countries. Its onboard food and beverage program has earned repeated recognition: Skytrax has named it "World's Best Business Class Onboard Catering" for the 10th time, and APEX awarded it "Best Food & Beverage in Europe" for the fifth consecutive time in 2026 — distinctions that resonate with the premium hospitality segment Business-Class.com serves.
Business-Class.com will promote the Turkish Airlines premium cabin — including lie-flat seats, Flying Chefs on select routes, and lounge access — across its network of more than 600,000 travelers. Founded in Florida in 2018, the company now operates with more than 800 staff across eight offices globally.
For operators and travel managers in the hospitality industry tracking premium travel trends and airline partnership models, the TKCONNECT integration signals a broader shift: as NDC adoption grows, advisor platforms that invest in direct airline connectivity are positioned to offer clients measurably better fare access and post-booking servicing on complex international routes.
