Starting September 1, Burger King is rolling out a limited-time Dragon Ball Super collaboration across participating U.S. locations, adding two new flavor builds, collectible figurines, and themed packaging to its menu in one of the QSR chain's more expansive anime-IP tie-ins to date.

What's on the Menu

The centerpiece is the "Dragon Ball Super Power Up Pack," bundling 10-piece crispy white-meat chicken nuggets with a new Super Saiyan Sauce—described as a sweet, savory, and tangy teriyaki-style dip—alongside a Dragon Ball Burst Lemonade made with mango-peach lemonade and mango-flavored popping boba, a medium fry, and one of six exclusive character figurines. Available figures include Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Vegeta, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Piccolo, and Beerus. The pack also comes with limited-edition packaging and a Dragon Ball Super-themed Crown.

For younger guests, a Dragon Ball Super King Jr.® Meal arrives simultaneously at participating locations. It includes a choice of hamburger, cheeseburger, or four- or six-piece chicken nuggets, plus a side, drink, themed crown, and one of the six collectible figurines.

The Operator Angle

For franchisees—who operate nearly all of Burger King's more than 19,000 locations across 120-plus countries and U.S. territories—IP-driven promotions like this one serve a dual function: they drive incremental traffic from a dedicated fan base while giving the kids' meal platform a collectible hook that can extend dwell time and repeat visits. The popping boba lemonade, in particular, signals Burger King's continued interest in beverage innovation within the QSR segment, a competitive front where chains are increasingly experimenting with textural and flavor-forward drinks to build a daypart beyond traditional meal occasions.

"At Burger King, we're always looking for ways to create experiences that go beyond the meal," said Joel Yashinsky, Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King U.S. & Canada. "Dragon Ball Super has inspired generations, and this collaboration gives families a fun, unexpected way to engage with a world they love while enjoying delicious new and innovative menu items."

The promotion is available for dine-in, drive-thru, BK.com, and the BK App, giving operators full omnichannel coverage on the LTO. The collaboration with Toei Animation—the studio behind Dragon Ball, ONE PIECE, and Sailor Moon—follows a broader industry pattern of QSR chains leveraging entertainment IP to generate social engagement and media impressions without traditional advertising spend. Anime's demographic reach, spanning teens through adults in their 30s and 40s who grew up with the franchise, makes Dragon Ball Super a particularly broad-appeal partner for a chain seeking to move beyond its core burger occasion.
